Involvement

We are not only committed to research, but we try to be active members of the UNCC and greater Charlotte community by volunteering for educational and outreach events:

  1. Lab members worked with local organization Hispanos Unidos to create an interactive educational event related to nutrition for children of the group.

  2. Volunteering at Novant Health Fair

  3. Presentation for sorority on campus – Lab members led an educational event with a UNCC sorority related to wellness.

  4. Volunteering for Greater Enrichment Project Health Fair – Every year, the Greater Enrichment Project in Charlotte holds a family health fair for children and their parents. Lab members have organized a table featuring face-painting and balloon animals for the children and exciting information related to nutrition and physical activity.
